Holy Family Parish School has a strong history of excellence.  A major reason for this success is the involvement of our parents during the school day.  We encourage and welcome volunteers in several different ways:

  1. Volunteer in the Classroom
  2. Volunteer in the Special Area Classrooms
  3. Volunteer for Field Trips as needed
  4. Volunteer in the Library
  5. Volunteer for After School Activities
  6. Volunteer for PTO activities
  7. Volunteer with Service Learning

In order to volunteer in any of these capacities, parents and other interested adults must meet certain criteria.  In accordance with the U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, all volunteers who work with children or youth on a regular basis (coaches, school volunteers, youth workers) must:

  • Attend a Safe Environment Training Workshop.  Each workshop will last 2 ½ hours.  Participants will receive a copy of the new Sexual Abuse Policies and a resource manual.  No registration is necessary.

A schedule of upcoming workshops is attached and is available on the Archdiocese of Louisville website.

  • Receive the Policy Manual and sign the Code of Conduct.  These forms are to be returned to Holy Family Parish and will be maintained by the Parish Safe Environment Contact Person.
  • Undergo a criminal background check.  This records check must be run every five years.  Complete the attached Volunteer Information Record and Employee/Volunteer Criminal Background Check Authorization forms and return to the Parish or School Office.   If you are unsure if or when you have had the records check, contact the Parish Office.
